Miracle Attention Deficit Disorder

Updated: Nov 23, 2018

Sometimes we don’t realize the blessings we have

Until we no longer have them.

Appreciate all the blessings in your life;

Take none for granted.

—Catherine Holsifer

The best day of your life is the one in which you decide your life is your own.

No apologies or excuses; no one to lean on, rely on, or blame.

The gift is yours; it is an amazing journey,

And you alone are responsible for the quality of it.

This is the day your life really begins.

Bob Moad

“Those quotes were especially meaningful this morning, especially now when I feel like I’m in that place of no longer and not yet…and any time I find myself in that place…it feels like a void, but it isn’t.  To me, this is where I feel the decision has to be made from where you are going, not from where you are at...to make a giant leap into the unknown….How do I incorporate that thought of business into our daily life?  One way is to see your day as a series of investments. What do you want your return to be for the time you invest in your life? If you think of getting a return for every action that you take, then you will choose your actions wisely within the time period that you have.  What is your intended outcome for each of your investments?  Looking at your life this way forces you to take a hard look at how you invest your time, your most valuable asset."

"We b

ring this into miracles. Working on miracles requires implementation as well. Execution is not always our best friend.  I have something I’ve coined MADD—miracle attention deficit disorder.  It is not a clinical or spiritual term or a diagnosis—at least not yet. Let me go a little further with that—this compulsion which I call gleaming crystal syndrome refers to how some people chase after the newest, shiniest object within view.  Here we are, sitting at our desk manifesting a miracle for someone in our family, a friend, or something, and now all of a sudden Uncle Ben’s farm is getting flooded and that takes over the miracle.  Your focus is gone. That does not mean that you can’t focus on two miracles at a time, but you have to be fully aware of that and totally focused on both."

'My point is that for us to create miracles we need to stay focused on the miracle that needs to be implemented...Once our minds lose their focus, it takes five times to get back into that focus.  That’s a fact; this is what distractions do. So we have to try to eliminate the distractions of our lives…It takes time to refocus.  We’re not only refocusing our mind; we’re also refocusing our attention and our spirit if we are to create a miracle.…How wonderful would it feel to dive fully into the Field of the Miraculous and get your miracle completed in one half or one quarter of the time.  This alone would be life-changing.  So learn how to glean the most of every moment, to be able to manifest the miracles you are asking for. The goal is to maximize your hours with things that really fascinate you, lift you up, while all at the same time freeing up your mind so that you don’t get into that overwhelm mindset.  And with that I wish everyone peace, love, and happiness.
